About Tail Report
Tail Report is the first real survey of web revenue. It gives website owners a look at what type of traffic and ranking it takes to meet their revenue goals while showing them how their current income compares to others in their traffic and demographic groups.
Tail Report was created by Nate Weiner, a random blogger probably like yourself, who is frustrated by the lack of available data regarding web revenue.
It is generally understood that website advertising revenue forms what is referred to as 'the long tail'. In a nutshell, this means that only the top websites make any significant amount of revenue.
But what does that tail actually look like? And what does it really take to get to the top of it?
In the blogosphere, there is a great deal of disaillusionment about how easy it is to make a strong income from advertising on a website. Therefore, a lot of websites focus on squeezing in advertising right out of the gate when they should be focusing on highlighting their content and services instead.
Tail Report is here to serve as the ultimate reality check to website ad revenue. We can finally know real answers about how much websites are making. And in the meantime, it can help you improve your site now by comparing it to others around you, and show you what is working for sites like yours.
